What clobbers Christianity?

I found a church this morning.  It was pleasant; light and air-conditioned.  There was no music at the early service, but I'm tone-deaf anyway, so I didn't mind.  The sermon was brief, but intelligent and informative and I found myself thinking about it still, which is a good sign for sermons, lectures, speeches, etc.

My only issue, and the thing that has probably killed off more congregations than anything else, is that I had to listen to the two older women behind me murmur during most of the service about how more than one person was permitted to donate flowers, apparently this is a new policy, and it made it less special than if one person were giving flowers.  Yeah, that was more important than the prayers and the message.  I hope they didn't mind sharing the worship space with me, a stranger.
